Meeting on Saturday 30th July

Our meeting on Saturday 30th July will be a ‘bring and share’ research meeting. If you are looking to get back another generation, have a ‘brick wall’ you need help with, or are looking for a particular individual, bring your tree along and we will do our best to help you.

It would be helpful if you could have the following to hand: either a pedigree chart and family group chart if you have one or alternatively your tree ready to share. This will make it easier for us to assist you. So, in advance of Saturday , review your family tree and locate a line or individual you would like help with. We find these sessions particularly useful as new techniques can be learnt by all of us.

The aim is to illustrate finding and researching skills/techniques for our Caribbean ancestors – from recent times if necessary, going back as far as we can towards the slavery in the British Caribbean – the subject area we plan to pick up in our September to November meetings.

So wherever you are in your research do join us/get involved. Share your ‘person sought’ and let us help you and help others learn about solutions in the research process to find their Caribbean ancestors.

Please note that we will also be at Solihull Library in person for this meeting so if you are local to Solihull, West Midlands, do come along and join us. Ask at the library desk and they will advise you which room we are in. We are normally in a room on the first floor.

Please register for the meeting by emailing this address. The meeting will commence at 14.00 hrs (BST). Meeting attendance is included in your membership. First time visitors are free of charge. Thereafter an annual membership fee is £20 and meeting attendance £5 per session. Payments can be made via the Family History Federation’s Parish Chest by clicking here.

We hope to see you on Saturday!
