Today 22nd June is Windrush Day in the UK. The 73rd anniversary of the arrival of the SS Empire Windrush into Tilbury Docks in Essex in 1948 carrying the first migrants from the Caribbean to help re build Britain. Today honours the half a million people who travelled from the Caribbean to the United KIngdom.
