Thank you for joining us at our zoom meeting on Saturday.
We had an informative and interesting meeting, learning the 5 steps of family history and all about searching for ‘Big Sam’! We reiterated the importance of talking to elders and even recording the chat so you don’t miss that important bit of information.
Visitors and members joined us from across the globe who are searching for ancestors in Jamaica, Barbados, Cuba, Panama, St Kitts & Nevis, Grenada, St Croix, St Thomas and Anguilla.
There was also a presentation of the varied activities of the Caribbean Family History Group during Black History Month through the years.
Our next appearance will be at the Family History Federation’s ‘Really Useful History Show’ on Saturday 14th November. This is an online worldwide event when you can talk to Family history groups and listen to talks throughout the day. For more information and to purchase tickets click here
Our November zoom meeting will be on Saturday 28th November at 1400 GMT when one of our committee will be giving a talk on ‘Jamaican Geography as Family History’. We hope to see you there!
