James Ranahan – Speaker at our Open Day – 30th November

James will be speaking at 3.00pm at our research meeting on Saturday 30th November on Barbados Enslavement Records held by Shakespeare Birthplace Trust

Jim Ranahan is an archivist who has worked with the Library of Birmingham, the Archive of the Union of the Sisters of Mercy (G.B.), the Ben Uri Museum of Jewish Art (London) and most recently the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Jim is committed to ensuring that all people (past and present) have their voices heard in the archival record.  In this he is inspired by Vanley Burke, the Godfather of Black British Photography, whose archive Jim worked with at the Library of Birmingham.

Join us online or at Solihull Core Library. Our Open Day starts at 10am.
