The Caribbean Family History Group would like to welcome Ann Dardaine, who will be talking about researching family in Trinidad and about what is available in the archives. Ann is a genealogist with ten years’ experience doing family tree research in Trinidad & Tobago. She began in 2010 by assisting her Mum with her maternal family research and moved on to researching her own paternal ancestors. Being a frequent visitor to the National Archives of Trinidad & Tobago, in 2013 she was asked by the Archives if she would like to assist persons searching for their Trinidad & Tobago roots, who from time to time would call the National Archives and she agreed. Over the years she has built numerous family trees for people who live across the globe and it has been an extremely interesting journey uncovering the lives of many persons long deceased.
In 2016, she was contacted by Wall to Wall Media, a company based in the UK, who produce the series “Who Do You Think You Are”. They needed a genealogist resident in Trinidad to assist with researching the Trinidadian ancestors of Liz Bonin. In 2017, Wall to Wall Media contacted her again to research the Trinidadian family of actor Noel Clarke and in 2019 that of actress Naomie Harris.
