Future Learn offer a free genealogy course, ‘Researching your Family Tree’ , by Strathclyde University which offers an introduction into researching your family history. You can work at your own pace, doing as much or as little as you like. It gives lots of tips and information on tracing your ancestors

The Genealogist are offering a starter course, ‘First Steps for the Genealogist’, for anyone at the early stages of research. This course gives access to census records and birth , marriage and death indexes for beginners to use for 3 months
