The June research meeting of the Caribbean Family History Group is Saturday 29th June at 14.00hrs (BST) . The meeting will be over Zoom.
Our discussion subject this month is; Windrush: Immigration and Migration experience for members and researchers to share. An opportunity for researchers to share their family experiences.
SS Empire Windrush was one of the first ships that brought passengers from the Caribbean to the United Kingdom with a promise of work. The ship docked at Tilbury on 22nd June 1948 and Windrush Day is celebrated annually.
